As the world marks Global Money Week three Newport businesses are pulling together to make life easier for first-time home buyers.
Led by Robert Nicholas Financial Advisers, free evening drop in sessions are being opened up to anyone seeking a way onto the property ladder.
As well as access to financial advisers, prospective buyers will be able to chat to experts from Clarke’s Solicitors and Fiveways Insurance Brokers in the same setting at many of the sessions.
The opportunity will be available between 5pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings throughout April and May at Robert Nicholas Financial Advisers’ Newport High Street offices.
Steve Graves, director of Robert Nicholas Financial Advisers, said: “When you start out with buying a home there are a lot of things you need to know and a lot of pieces to pull together. Good advice can avoid making mis-steps and can ensure a more efficient process – not to mention giving peace of mind!
“We’re launching this initiative in Global Money Week, which is a great campaign aimed at helping younger people to be more financially literate. We think understanding personal finance is crucial for everyone and our friends at Clarkes Solicitors and Fiveways Insurance Brokers agree with us, which is why they were so keen to also be part of this.”
Steve added: “I should stress that these sessions are completely free and without any obligation to take anyone’s services. First and foremost they are an opportunity for first time buyers to have a chat and understand their options and the processes involved in getting on the property ladder.”
Everyone attending one of the evenings will have the chance to win £150 in Next vouchers from a draw and the opportunity to take advantage of reduced fees for mortgage arrangement and legal services.
Appointments are being recommended as take-up is expected to be strong, but walk-in visitors will also be welcomed.
